The “Aspire Higher” Scholarship exists to honor the creative life of our daughter, Krista, who left us all too soon before she could realize her dreams in the arts. Although she was successful in politics and communications right out of college, serving two terms on the Exeter Town council and working with countless statewide political initiatives, she went on to embrace a life in the Arts. Krista was passionate about music, film, theater and dance and was a budding actor and screen writer. She “aspired higher” in all her endeavors while devoting much of her energy to encourage and help others do the same. “Reach for your dreams!” was her mantra. We carry on her legacy of goodwill by supporting aspiring individuals who share her artistic passion and wish to pursue a future in the Arts. Five $1000 awards will be presented in Spring of 2017. Applicants must be a graduating senior in a RI school whose life was significantly impacted by the arts and/or who will be going on to pursue college level or workshop studies in the one of the Fine or Applied Arts:

Thank you to all our supporters who donated both online and through the mail to help Jeff & Amber raise funds for the Kids Camp Initiative for summer 2017! We are excited that we almost reached our goal of $2500. It was a glorious morning to cross over beautiful Narragansett Bay.
The dynamic father-daughter duo … Jeff Weller and Amber Weller Richardson … is gearing up for the Pell Bridge Run on Sunday, October 23rd.
“Our goal this year is to raise $2,500 for Kiki’s Garden Aspire Higher Scholarships, ” Amber related. “Krista, our Kiki, loved Narragansett Bay and crossed the bay many times when she joined in the Save the Bay Swim. Participating in the run is a fitting tribute to her memory. This will be the second year we’ve participated in the run and we are excited to be a part of this collective fundraiser for non-profits. ”
